Labomedia was born in 1999, from the shared interest of several organisations in digital arts. That’s why Mixar, Lumen, Radio Campus, l’Oreille and l’Otre Oreille created the so called Ultimedia (that became Labomedia after some years).
Labomedia wants to contribute to « nowadays cultures’ awareness, their promotion and their developement, as well as competence sharing« . Coherent and complementary actions are set up in order to achieve these objectives: from ICT familiarisation to cultural and artistic projects developement, and collaboration with active national and international networks and associations.
Actions:
- information connected to the cultural and artistic field dealing with ICT;
- training on digital devices and tools (some additional information in the category Formations and Ateliers > in french);
- creation and support to artistic creation (some additional information in the category Creations and Projets Adhérents Labo > in french);
- research and development;
- diffusion, organisation, participation to cultural and artistic events (Evénéments > in french)
These actions are supported by 4 tecnical and pedagogical devices:
- Espace Culture Multimedia – Multimedia Culture Space / especially dedicated to artistic creation
- Espace Public Numerique – Public Digital Space / dedicated to pedagogical actions achievement;
- Centre de Ressources Documentaire – Documentary Resources Center / getting general information and project methodology consulting (also online);
- Media Plateau – Media Stage / dedicated to audiovisual projects (some of them online on our webtv);
