Location: Citi-Lab

Introduction:
The project focuses on the use of video diary format with personal cameras – mobile-type and flip-cams. This is a diary that reflected the everyday through intimate testimonies by using a collaborative approach working with a group of 10 young people.
Auto-play refers to the maxim of Alexander Astruc and his theory of “the camera stylo” or pen – camera to describe reality as it is. So we can capture it with the immediacy of a pen. Insted of the waste of resources and production that needs a crew, we work on the idea that the director uses the camera to provide meaning and interpetation of reallity in a personal, creative an spontaneous way.
Through Auto-play, intended to formulate a youth group maps experiences on the configuration-perception of the city, that is, we propose this workshop as a means of citizen participation from the practice registers of inner-city routes. Young people explore the city from its own perspective and look.
The workshop will work with strategies to tell their routes and narrate themselves in the city they inhabit. According to Josep M. Catalá Domenech“Problems of representation of space and time the picture” to Pasollini, the first human language was the action of the body in reality, so the film and photography became (to capture the action) speech of the body, which could be considered the written language of reality.
During the workshop students will observe their territory and stop-register, and work will capture the everyday images of what seem unimportant but which defines the identity, the imaginary city dweller and active observation of the youthful looks Barcelona.
Aimed at:
Youth 15 to 18 years interested in the management of media, technology and enjoyment of digital entertainment options. The workshop includes script stage of research, production, sound design, original music composition, post-production, mastering and distribution of parts over the Internet.
Structure:
The workshop structure is raised to 5 day intensive modules. It is proposed that a workshop be conducted in five sessions, the proposed dates are 19 to July 23, 2010 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
